Lloyd Ringer, 71, of Greenfield
Funeral Services: Will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. Rev. Father Philip Bempong will officiate the service.
Open Visitation: Friends may call at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield on Friday, November 8, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Lloyd Andrew Ringer was born June 5, 1948 in Alameda, California, the son of Austin and Lydia (Aube) Ringer. He passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 71.
Lloyd was educated in the California Bay area. He enjoyed many different jobs, from drivng truck, making pizzas, sorting chickens, foam tech operator, lathe and plaster, tire retreader and 28 years of dedicated services to the Nodaway Valley School District. Lloyd loved his job working at the school, which brought him in contact with many teachers, coaches and students. He also enjoyed raccoon hunting with his sons and his good friend, Dave Grasty.
Lloyd met his love of his life Cheryl Payton and they were married at the Chapel of the Bells on August 20, 1967, in Santa Cruz, California. They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Pauline Payton; and sister, Kathleen Bowden.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ringer of Greenfield; three sons, Daniel and wife Pamela Ringer of Greenfield, James Ringer and wife Carol of Littleton, Colorado and Kevin Ringer of Greenfield; four grandsons, Calvin Ringer of Jamestown, North Dakota, Jake Ringer of Littleton, Colorado, Korbyn and Kohl Ringer of Cromwell, Iowa; brother, Michael Ringer and wife Emily of Evanston, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Gary Payton and wife Nancy of Trail, Oregon; other relatives and friends.
Lloyd will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will celebrate his life from the shores of California to the rolling hills of Iowa.
